Queen City Triathlon • Helena, 8 A.M. The first annual Queen City Triathlon is a sprint distance race oriented towards beginner triathletes. 18 lap swim in a 25 yard pool, 12.4 mile bike through the Helena Valley, and a 3.1 mile run on a dirt trail. 3rd Annual Hamilton PTA Fun Run • Hamilton, Run a 10K, 5K, or in our 1 mile Family Fun Run in commencing at Canyon Hideaway Park.  The 10K will have moderate grades on the Westside of Hamilton and all runs will be on pavement.  Registration is $15 for adult 10K and 5K or $20 after May 31st.  1 Mile Fun Run participants, seniors, and students are all $10.  Race times are 10K-8:30 am, 5K-9:30 am, and 1 mi-11:00 am.  Registration includes t-shirt, goodie bag, chance for additional prizes, and sign ups for a massage after the race.  Awards will be given to 1st-3rd men’s and women’s 10K and 5K.  Registration forms will be available beginning May 1st at The Canyon’s, Bob Ward’s, all Hamilton Schools, Antara Sports, and The Runner’s Edge in Missoula.  For questions or to have a registration form mailed to you please email demarismoore@yahoo.com.  Pre-packet pick-up will be Friday, June 6 from 4-7 at Canyon Hideaway Park.  All proceeds benefit Hamilton schools’ families and children particularly promoting healthy activities!

Yellowstone Days 5k Fun Run/Walk • Gardiner, @ Historic Arch Park. Registration/Check-in - 9:00 A.M. Race start - 10:00 A.M. Participate in this exciting community fundraiser and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Yellowstone National Park. The Yellowstone Days 5k is part of a full day of events in Gardiner, Montana. Funds from this event are used to raise money for local Gardiner based non-profits (Community Center and Chamber). Rocky Mountain Bank Summit Solstice Triathlon • Kalispell, This is a fun event that some have described as a "Beginners Triathlon". This Triathlon consists of ½ mile swim around Foys Lake, followed by a 12.7 mile bicycle ride on beautiful rolling hills surrounding Foys Lake, followed by a 3.1 Mile run on the streets surrounding Foys Lake. Triathlon registration deadline is June 3rd. Computer chip timing will be offered allowing for accurate times, accurate split times and results after you finish the race. Treasure State Triathlon- Off Road Edition • Bozeman, Hyalite Reservoir, 1/2 mile swim- 11 mile mountain bike- 4 mile trail run. This year, the Treasure State Triathlon will have an updated course. Competitors will begin by swimming a 1/2 mile in Hyalite reservoir, followed by 1 lap (about 11 miles) of mountain biking up the Lick Creek Trail and descending the Hood Creek Trail to the dam. The run portion will wind along the reservoir via the West Shore Trail to the cabin. At the cabin, competitors will turn around and finish along the Crescent Lake Trail. The Whitefish Lake Run • Whitefish, 5 km, 10km. 31st Annual, Races start at 8 AM, 10K runners are bused to the start at 6:45 to run the one way route along Lake Shore Drive back to City Beach. Course: The 5K course starts at City Beach and loops around a fairly fast route back to the beach. Fees: Adults $15, Youth 12 and under $10, Awards: Overall first place winners get specially designed custom awards. Overall 2-5 also get nice awards. Reach's Run For Independence • Bozeman, Show your best patriotic colors and join us for a 1k,5k,10k run on the trails in north Bozeman. This is a fundraiser for Reach, Inc., a non profit organization serving people with developmental disabilities in the Gallatin Valley since 1974. Make It Hurt On the Dirt • Butte, Off-road Duathlon, Homestake Lodge. The Hurt On the Dirt Duathlon is back for 2008 and is being hosted by Homestake Lodge on Homestake Pass near Butte, MT. Racers may either compete as individuals or in teams. There are classes for adults and two junior categories. After the event there will be a barbecue, beverages, and music. Adult distances are 9 miles/bike, and 4 miles/run. The Under 10 Junior Course is 2 miles/bike, and 1 mile/run, the under 14 Junior Course is 4 miles/bike and 2 miles/run. Terrain is a combination of logging roads, trails, and single track suitable for most riders and runners. Adult Individual - $30.00, Adult Relay - $35.00, Youth - $12.50, additional barbecue ticket $7.50 (1 bbq ticket included with race entry). Spring Meadow Lake Triathlons • Helena, at Spring Meadow Lake State Park. Olympic: 1.5K Swim, 40K Bike, 10k Run. 8 am $50 individual; $120 team.
