November 2, 2014, Sunday

We are hoping that last year's survivors and some fresh new runners will join us for the 2nd annual Livingston Education Foundation 5K Zombie Run, happening in Livingston, MT on Sunday November 2nd. A free kids run will take place at 8:30 AM for ages 12 and under, followed by a chip timed 5K at 9 AM for brave individuals of any age. Both events start and end at the Civic Center (229 River Drive). Cost is $40 and includes a technical race shirt for all runners that register by October 17th, professional chip timing, free admission to the Billman Creek Boogiemen Haunted House, taking place on October 31st and November 1st, as well as a finishers medal. Registration forms will be available by August 1st at www.livingstoneducationfoundation.org. The 5K zombie run will route runners, joggers, and walkers through a path of zombies that will attempt to capture their flags. Top three male and top three female finishers that escape with at least one of their flags will qualify for a prize award medal. The race takes place as part of a Haunted Weekend of events organized by the Livingston Education Foundation and all proceeds from the weekend festivities directly benefit Livingston Public Schools. We would prefer that bicycles and dogs stay off the course during the event, so our zombies can focus on their true victims. Packet pick up will take place at the LEF Haunted House on Friday and Saturday evening prior to the run from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, or race morning between 8 and 8:30 AM. Individuals interested in sponsoring the event or wishing to volunteer for any portion of the weekend should contact lef4kids@gmail.com. Any race specific questions should be directed to evjeendurance@gmail.com.
